Doane University, a nationally recognized liberal arts and sciences university in Nebraska invites applications for a full-time position as a Visiting Assistant or Associate Professor of Business in the College of Business for 1-3 years. A doctorate or master's degree in a business field such as administration, management, or marketing is required; priority will be given to candidates with teaching experience and/or professional business experience.

The newly-formed College of Business offers both undergraduate and graduate courses at our Lincoln and Crete campuses as well as online. The Crete campus is a traditional, residential environment, while the Lincoln campus is geared towards working adults and offers evening courses on an 8-week accelerated schedule. Courses for this position will primarily be on the Lincoln campus but may also include classes in Crete and online.

Teaching responsibilities will include a variety of undergraduate business classes and may also include graduate-level business classes. Exact courses will be determined based upon the candidate's interests and qualifications as well as meeting departmental needs. Classes include, but are not limited to: Marketing, Consumer Behavior, Promotions Management, Introduction to Business, and Business Communications at the undergraduate level, and International Business and Economics, and Strategic Marketing at the graduate level. Additional responsibilities may include scholarship and/or service.

Preference will be given to candidates who have experience in an active learning and teaching environment, value interdisciplinary studies, are committed to teaching to a diverse population of students, include students with different perspectives, and are responsive to student needs.
