Videographer

Doane University, located at 50th & R streets in Lincoln, Nebraska, invites applications for the position of Videographer. We are looking for someone who is passionate about storytelling - a videographer who can see the larger, more impactful story within an assignment. The videographer is responsible for all aspects of video production - pre-production planning, shooting, audio recording, studio lighting, environmental lighting, scheduling, post-production, color correction, and distribution.

The successful candidate will be a strong self-starter curious about how stories from the latest branded video series (think Yeti Presents, Patagonia, Callaway Golf Lives, and many others...) are told and produced. The videographer will be just as proficient with and passionate about short-form as they are with long-form video storytelling. This position will bring concepts to life by being comfortable working with a small footprint, mirrorless production, and also helping concept and execute national high-production commercial shoots independently or with outside partners. The videographer will also help coordinate and produce live streams from an on-campus studio environment. This position will work with other members of the OSMC team and on-campus resources to plan and assist in constructing studio sets to meet the needs of numerous campus partners. This position will also be hands-on in the development and education of Doane Brand Ambassadors (current students) to help in video production and to empower Ambassadors to create video content to help fill content gaps.

Qualifications/Skills/Abilities Required for Position:

  • Strong video editing skills in software such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, etc.
  • Impressive past video work and reel
  • Experience in creating long and short-form video content
  • Proven ability to operate and manage a small-footprint, mirrorless video production team
  • Familiarity with selecting appropriate video format and codecs for different video projects to create efficiencies in capture and editing and outputting the highest quality video to meet project requirements
